The sadness following Raymond Poulidor's death has highlighted how much the Frenchman was loved for being an 'eternal second' and for being humble during the rest of his life as he travelled around France and faithfully attend virtually every edition of the Tour de France after he retired in 1977. We’re sad to hear the news that cycling icon Raymond Poulidor passed away. We wish his family a lot of strength in this difficult time.
Raymond lived not too far from us out here in France and on a couple of occasions I took the opportunity to have a chat with him when he was at events in the area.
Well we thought it was about time we set up a new website for Les Stables,
We’ve been running now since 2008 and with only a few changes to the website over the years we knew it was time for a revamp. we have had a lot of guests tell us that the old website didn’t do us justice because the venue is so beautiful so we hope that the increase in the number of images we have out up on the site is an improvement.
